Recruitment agency Pro Contact expands as a recruiter in Antwerp

Pro Contact is expanding and taking charge as a recruiter in Antwerp! That means that from now on, from the Spaces building, we can also help our southern neighbours with smart recruitment solutions. And are we proud!

Noud Baijens (CEO) says: “We’re really happy with our brand-new office in the heart of Antwerp. This was one of our big goals! After Covid broke out, we left our office in Kontich and tried out a number of flexible solutions for our recruitment agency. Including working from home and flex offices. Now we really have our own office again, with superb Belgian marketers and recruiters serving the Belgian market. Our Belgian colleagues work for both our Flemish and our French-speaking clients.”

Recruiter in Antwerp after Covid

Willem Bos (Creative Director) says: “Our recruitment agency already started out with a small office in Belgium in 2018. We saw that there was a need in Belgium too for what we were already doing in the Netherlands. In the years before Covid, we quickly landed some really great Belgian clients. What was amazing to see was that we could also apply what we’re good at to our bigger clients in Belgium. We soon went looking for an office in Kontich, because the guys who worked for us lived nearby. Unfortunately, our office couldn’t withstand the shock Covid caused, and we decided to work remotely from Amsterdam for a while.”

More at home in Antwerp than in Groningen

“At some point, a great Belgian colleague came to work with us in Amsterdam and caught the Pro Contact virus too. Passionate and determined to succeed, he breathed new life into the Belgian Pro Contact office. For a few months now, we’ve had a real office again in the heart of Antwerp, in Berchem. I personally think that’s really great.”

The connection with Belgium goes beyond just the atmosphere you feel there, says Bos. “We always act as if recruitment in the Belgian market is very different, but in essence it’s very similar. Flemish companies also need recruitment campaigns, photo shoots and careers websites. We feel very much at home in Belgium, even more than in Groningen. We’ve already got to know loads of great people there and done lots of great projects. As far as I’m concerned, we’re never leaving.”

The next step for the recruitment agency

“The next step for the office in Belgium is to set up a sales organisation there again, because right now sales is handled entirely from the Netherlands. And a Flemish target group is best approached by a Flemish sales team: that match of language and culture is crucial for the number of deals that get closed.
